Jeffrey Bank, President
Jeff Bank is an attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he specializes in antitrust and commercial litigation while also acting as Pro Bono Coordinator for his office. A graduate of NYC public schools (PS 26, MS 216), he also earned a BS and JD from Cornell University. In his free time, Jeff enjoys organizing dinners for family and friends and traveling extensively, often planning his trips around food or music.
Jeffry Haber, Treasurer
Jeffry Haber is Professor of Accounting at Iona College. He is also Controller of The Commonwealth Fund, a private foundation engaged in healthcare policy research. He is an author (Accounting Demystified and What If Everything We Knew About Investing Was Wrong?) and frequent speaker at international and national conferences. He holds a PhD degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and MS and BS degrees from Syracuse University and is a CPA (NY) and licensed Community Association Manager (FL). He consults with a number of companies in a variety of industries and has done stand-up comedy.
Lynda Dias, Secretary
Lynda Dias is a professor of Hospitality Management at New York City College of Technology, CUNY and a hospitality consultant to several internationally recognized luxury lodging brands. She earned her master’s degree in Labor and Policy Studies from Empire State College SUNY. In her free time, she is the Faculty Adviser for the Spoons Across America Club at City Tech and enjoys traveling and discovering new culinary delights with her foodie friends.

Teresa DeLuca, MD, MBA
Teresa is the former Chief Medical Officer/Pharmacy for Magellan Health Solutions. In this executive level role Teresa was responsible for conjoining the Magellan Medicaid Administration and I-Core Specialty Pharmacy units into one clinical organization. Before that she Vice President & Segment Leader for Humana’s Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) group. Teresa holds a NYS medical license (MD) and obtained an Executive MBA at Drexel University. She completed her medical residency at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia where she served as Chief Psychiatry Resident. She is a board certified psychopharmacologist having had a private practice for many years. She is also an active Medical Reserve Corp member with the US Department of Health & Human Services (FEMA). With almost 20 years as a physician and over 10 years in increasingly senior executive positions, Teresa has a true passion for improving the delivery and efficacy of health care in America and looks forward to continued improvements in all aspects of healthcare.
Reuel M. Jordan*
Bank Street College of Education, Former Dean of Children’s Programs
Kate Magaram is the Director of Direct-to-Consumer Execution and Management at TIAA-CREF. She previously practiced corporate law, where she specialized in investment management, and represented a health-related non-profit on a pro bono basis. Kate has a passion for corporate governance – she has advised both for-profit and non-profit boards, and is published on the subject of corporate governance best practices. Kate earned a BA from Brown University and JD from Yale. In her free time, Kate cooks vegetarian food, explores the outdoors, and stops at every farm stand she can.
Richard Mandell is a retired investment banker having worked at Prudential Securities, Inc. for over 25 years as a Managing Director of the firm’s Retail Trade group. Mr. Mandell has served on numerous corporate boards, including a number of companies in the restaurant industry such as Sbarro’s Inc, and Smith and Wollensky Restaurant Group, Ltd. Mr. Mandell was Chairman of the Board of two public companies, Encore Capital Group, Inc. and Hampshire Group, Ltd. Mr. Mandell was also a Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburger franchisee and operated five Wendy’s restaurants.
Lesley Nagy believes that good food brings people together. As a child, Lesley learned her way around the kitchen, perfecting her grandmother’s recipes, setting a big family dinner table; and her favorite tradition was pasta Sundays. In her career, Lesley is an award-winning television personality and producer. For over a decade, Lesley has been covering the red carpet and interviewing celebrities, including many celebrity chefs like Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay, Jacques Torres, Guy Fieri and more. She holds a BA in broadcast journalism from Michigan State University. Lesley is excited to bring her enthusiasm to Spoons Across America so that kids can dream big and eat well!
Rachelle G. Parker
Rachelle G. Parker was an elementary school principal in both private and public schools for 25 years, following several years of teaching. She received her doctorate in curriculum and teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University in 1986. After retiring in July 2012, she decided to focus on her passion: Kids and Nature. This passion is still evolving and now includes healthy eating and nutrition education. She is active in several programs that help children and families learn to love nature in order to save and sustain our Earth. A belief in progressive, child centered education that started when her children attended Bank Street School for Children in the 80’s and 90’s continues to motivate her activities. Rachelle was excited to join Spoons Across America as a Trustee in 2014.
Emily Zwanziger is currently Director, Business Development on the US Loyalty team at American Express where she is responsible for strategic partnership management and development. She has several years of experience in strategic planning, market research, product management and P&L oversight across a variety of programs and industries. Emily holds an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business and a BA from University of Pennsylvania. In her free time, she is an avid home cook and enthusiastic traveler. She also enjoys running and staying active.
