Salud

Salud is a four-day curriculum based on the Dinner Party Project and designed for children in special environments.

Medicine, surgery and therapies are not always enough to ensure a child's good health. Salud offers children a refreshing activity during their hospital stay that engages them and their parents to the joys of creating and sitting down to a nutritious meal.

Spoons Across America developed the program in Spring 2002 in New York City for Beth Israel Medical Center, Herbert and Nell Singer Division of Continuum Health Partners, Inc. for pediatric patients (infants to eighteen years old) with neurological conditions that require medical attention.
