Greenmarket Tour Guides
Greenmarket Tour Guides program trains volunteers to guide children and interested adults through farmers' markets using hands-on education techniques, including a specially-designed market Treasure Hunt.
School children, tourists, and locals will discover the wealth and variety
of fresh, locally-produced ingredients during the Greenmarket tour. They
will have the opportunity to see, touch, smell, and taste some of the
produce and products during the one-hour tour that includes a short shopping
opportunity.
We Invite you to become a Greenmarket Tour Guide. You will be trained to lead a one-hour tour at a designated Greenmarket with tour attendees (typically children).
Greenmarket Tour Guides serves 4,500 4th graders in NYC public schools.
