For the past 15 years, Spoons Across America has been educating children, teachers, and families about food. Food education sounds like it could cover many topics. Is it cooking education and knife skills and recipes? Is it nutrition education and MyPlate charts and reading nutrition labels? Is it agricultural education and talking about produce seasonality and heirloom varieties? The answer is that it’s all of the above.

Just as food education covers many different topics, so too will the Spoonful! Every other month, we will bring you food news and recipes and activities from the Spoons’ staff. You can peek into what we’re thinking about, what we’re cooking, and what we’re doing in the classroom.
